This painting is called "Cool Waters" and it's a group-paint project with my online watercolor group. This was a triple challenge for me: trying to create realistic water, realistic foliage and realistic rocks. All of these are tricky for the uninitiated! All in all, I think it works... This painting is one 9 x 12 300 pound cold pressed Kilamanjaro paper. SOLD

Girl with Hat

This painting was a class project. I loved how the abstractness of the coloring of her face blended with the background and the hat. Yet her facial features made her realistic.

Bird Hummingbird

This painting turned out to have such a happy feel that I emailed photos of it to my friends. It sold immediately... my first sale! SOLD!

Day Lily

This day lily was growing in my neighborhood. It took me a couple weekends to complete as I layered on more and more pigment to the flower and the background to really make the flower pop. This painting is done on 9 x 12 Kilamanjaro 140 pound cold pressed watercolor paper.
SOLD.

On Holiday

This was the July08 photo paint with my online watercolor group. Everyone paints from the same photograph and then posts the painting. At the end of the month a member puts all the entries into a slideshow. It's amazing how many different styles and interpretations there are. This painting is on 6.75 x 9.75 Kilamanjaro 140 pound cold pressed watercolor paper.

Older Than Dirt

This was a band I discoverd playing at an art event in Old Town Temecula. I loved their look and their name and couldn't wait to paint them. This painting is on 11x15 Stratford 140 pound cold pressed watercolor paper.

Peaceful Woman

I did this painting after taking a weekend workshop from Linda Doll . I love that I was successful in emphasizing light and shadows. This painting is part of the artist's private collection.

Carousel Dream

This was a class project. When I finished it I thought my little nieces would like it. I hid their names in the painting for fun. I'm getting it framed so they can hang it in their room. SOLD
